0 FBI offers record $3M reward for Russian hacking suspect

The FBI is offering a $3 million reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of a Russian hacking suspect, the highest bounty ever offered by US authorities in a cybercrime case.

Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev is accused of being the mastermind behind the GameOver Zeus botnet, which was used by cybercriminals to steal more than $100 million from businesses and consumers since 2011. A 14-count indictment unsealed last year charged Bogachev, 31, with conspiracy, computer hacking, wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering.

"This reward offer reaffirms the commitment of the US Government to bring those who participate in organized crime to justice, whether they hide online or overseas," the US Department of State said in a statement.

The FBI believes that Bogachev is still living in Russia. More

New York – The NYPD has turned to Patrick Swayze to teach city cops how to behave.

Police bosses are using a scene from the 1989 action flick “Road House” as part of the mandatory, three-day retraining course for 22,000 cops, The Post has learned.

In the scene, Swayze — playing a tough-guy bouncer, Dalton — teaches his goons at the rowdy bar Double Deuce how to handle unruly customers.

First, he spells out three rules, with the third being simply, “Be nice.” More

North Carolina - Mirjana Puhar -- a recent "America's Next Top Model" contestant -- was killed Tuesday in a triple homicide at her boyfriend's home in Charlotte, NC ... TMZ has learned.

A source who was very close to Mirjana confirmed to TMZ that she was one of the 3 victims found dead in a home that belonged to Mirjana's boyfriend. The source says a friend of the couple went to the house after getting a call that gunshots were heard.

We're told the friend went into the house, saw 2 bodies -- Mirjana and the boy friend -- and then called police to report the killings. The friend didn't see the 3rd victim, but did see money scattered around the house.

19-year-old Mirjana was on the 21st cycle of 'ANTM' ... which aired last year. She was eliminated from the show in the 10th episode.

Law enforcement sources tell us the preliminary investigation leads police to believe the murders were drug related -- and the victims knew the killer. More

0 Blind woman, 93, sexually assaulted in her own apartment by intruder

A legally blind 93-year-old woman was able to pull an alarm and summon help from neighbors as a stranger battered and then sexually assaulted her in her apartment, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

About 2:30 a.m. Monday, the woman had taken trash to the receptacle at the end of her hall and was surprised by Clyde Alvims Leandre (picture), 22, of Delray Beach, according to Detective Ian Kuechler.

The incident happened in the Highland Gardens apartments at 331 Northeast 48th St. Each apartment has cords near beds and toilets that activate an emergency alarm as well as a hallway light outside a tenant's door. More

MILVILLE, New Jersey - A school bus aide has been charged with stealing lunch money and bagged lunches from preschoolers in New Jersey.

Police in Millville say 33-year-old Rosa Rios was caught on a surveillance camera rummaging through students’ backpacks.

She’s accused of stealing money and food from the 3- to 5-year-olds she was supervising in January and February.

Authorities first reviewed the footage because the bus driver complained that someone had stolen $400 from her. Rios is also under investigation in that theft. More

A mother has been jailed after lying about being raped – putting an innocent man through months of torment.

Lisa-Jayne Samuels, 29, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice and was imprisoned for 20 months.

The wrongly-accused man, Terry Brown, endured months of uncertainty during which time he was beaten by a gang of thugs and his pregnant partner lost her baby after Samuels, of Prince Avenue, Southend, lied to police.

Basildon Crown Court heard Samuels called 999 at 1am on October 10, 2012, claiming to have been raped at the cliffs in Western Esplanade, Southend, and identified her attacker to the police. More

Kendra Sunderland, who was busted after filming a live sex show in a college library, has been charged with public indecency.

0 Senior State Dept. official arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor

A senior State Department official in charge of federal counterterrorism programs was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor, Fox News has learned.

Fairfax County Police officials say Daniel Rosen was arrested by a county detective about noon at his Washington, D.C. home after he allegedly sought to arrange sex with a minor.

The detective, a female officer working in the county's Child Exploitation Unit, had been posing as the minor in online exchanges with Rosen, police said.

Rosen, who is the director of counterterrorism programs and policy at the State Department, was arrested and transported to the D.C. jail and charged with one count of Use of a Communications Device to Solicit a Juvenile. More

0 GUILTY: Ex-Marine gets life in jail for killing 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle

Texas - A former Marine was found guilty late Tuesday of the 2013 shooting deaths of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the author of "American Sniper," and his friend Chad Littlefield.

It took an Erath County, Texas jury less than two hours to convict Eddie Ray Routh of capital murder. State District Judge Jason Cashon sentenced Routh to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Prosecutors had not sought the death penalty in the case. Routh's defense team said they would appeal the conviction.

"We have waited two years for God to get justice on behalf of our son," Littlefield's mother, Judy, told reporters outside the courthouse. "And as always, God has proven to be faithful, and we're so thrilled that we have the verdict that we have tonight." More

0 Person of interest in Holly Bobo killing found dead in apparent suicide

A man authorities reportedly planned to indict in the 2011 killing of a Tennessee nursing student apparently committed suicide sometime over the weekend, his attorney told a Nashville TV station on Monday.

Shayne Austin, 30, reportedly signed an immunity agreement in March 2014 with prosecutors, but was uncooperative in the investigation of the kidnapping and murder of Holly Bobo (picture).

The Jackson Sun reported that Austin's immunity was revoked and he was going to be indicted. Luke Evans, Austin's attorney, said that his client had been truthful.

"It's unfortunate the government came in and made allegations without basis," the attorney told WSMV. "People had to live with those allegations….under the cloud of those allegations."

Two men, Zachary Adams and Jason Autry, were arrested last spring and charged with murder and kidnapping in the case of Bobo, a nursing student who was 20 when she disappeared from her house in April 2011. In October, John Dylan Adams was charged with raping Bobo. Both men have pleaded not guilty. More

TAVARES, Florida - A homeless man was arrested by Lake County deputies after they say he urinated on books at the public library.

Benjamin Wilson, 24, has been charged with criminal mischief and disorderly intoxication in the incident at the Tavares Public Library on New Hampshire Avenue.

Deputies said library staff contacted them after seeing Wilson fall out of a chair he was sleeping in, stumble around the library and urinate on a set of books in between the bookshelves. More

Peru – A ‘hitman’ has been arrested in Peru – after advertising himself as a contract killer on his Facebook profile.

Jonathan Giraldo, 38, gave himself the alias ‘Tony Garcia’ and nicknamed himself ‘Anthrax’ thinking it would help conceal his identity.

But police swooped after he used real videos and photos of himself posing with weapons – including a handgun with a silencer attachment – and bundles of cash.

In his profile for his professional background, Giraldo – who called himself the ‘Most Wanted’ – said: ‘On the streets – you learn more than in school.’

Officers arrested him while he was updating his profile with more claims of his criminal escapades. More

According to reports, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a call of a small debris fire on the street.

0 Suspects planned for weeks to kill Satellite Beach teen, deputies say

SATELLITE BEACH, Florida - Three people were arrested Friday in connection with an attack that left a Satellite Beach teenager in a coma Thursday morning.

Investigators with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office identified the suspects as Dylan Thomas, 17, and Jessie Umberger, 18, both of Satellite Beach, and Rebecca Gotay, 18, of Indialantic.

Each suspect is being held without bond on charges that include attempted first-degree premeditated murder.

Authorities said they believe the attack on Daniel Vukovich, 17, was in retaliation for the theft of marijuana and paraphernalia that belonged to Thomas and Umberger.  More

STAMFORD - Police said Alan Becker, 47, of Stamford, went to the Loft Salon on Long Ridge Road Wednesday morning for a haircut, but became upset over the quality of the cut he received.

“He was just very irate about his haircut,” said Stamford Police Sgt. Kelly Connelly. “He did not like the way that it was cut.”

When Becker found out the haircut would cost him $50, he became even more “outraged,” Connelly said.

Connelly said that Becker began yelling at the staff and customers, kicked a hole in a wall and threw several items around the salon. More

0 Drunk driver busted after driving wrong-way on Golden Gate Bridge

California – A Sacramento man was arrested in Marin County early Friday morning on suspicion of drunken driving after he navigated nearly half of the Golden Gate Bridge in the wrong direction, then turned around mid-span and headed back the way he came, officials said.

Around 2:35 a.m., the California Highway Patrol began receiving calls of a southbound driver in the northbound lanes. A silver or gray Toyota sedan had exited the Vista Point parking lot on the Marin County side of the bridge and entered the bridge in the wrong direction, said Officer Andrew Barclay, a CHP spokesman.

As officers went to cut off the driver, callers reported that the Toyota had made a U-turn in the middle of the bridge and was heading northbound on Highway 101 back into Marin County, still driving erratically, Barclay said. More

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina – A South Carolina woman claims an ex-boyfriend bit off half of her nose.

Michele Messer says she ran into Chris Campbell a few weeks after breaking up and was attacked later that night.

The events transpired when Campbell asked Messer to talk with her outside after running into her at a party on February 7th, WMBF reports.

The situation turned violent after Messer got into her vehicle with the ex-boyfriend.

An Oklahoma man says he nearly lost his penis when he woke to find his girlfriend trying to bite it off.

A night of drinking and arguing led to the painful arousal when the victim said he found Amber Ellis "biting his (penis) off" as he slept on the couch Thursday,KJRH reported.

He told Tulsa police he fought the 31-year-old off but in the process she hit him in the head with a laptop computer.

Their earlier argument was over his accusing her of being too needy, he said.

He was hospitalized and given several stitches to the base of his penis, as well as treatment for injuries to his head, face, neck, fingers and knee. More
