LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A post on the Auburn Police Department’s Facebook page says the body of a woman was found at the bottom of an embankment Thursday afternoon around 1 p.m.
The statement went on to say that the body was found by one of Misty Upham’s relatives.
Upham, a 32-year-old actress known for her work in “August: Osage County,” among other films, had been missing for more than a week.
Auburn is a suburb of Seattle.
The body was found, according to the statement, “in a wooded area near Forest Ridge Dr. The body was found at the bottom of a 150 embankment near the White River.”
Authorities said a purse containing Upham’s identity was also recovered at the scene. More
