Florida – A Florida woman who told cops she has anger control issues has been arrested for repeatedly beating her son with a rope and killing the family’s puppy as her children watched.
Charlotte Wonjah, 26, appeared in a Miami court Thursday, where Judge George Sarduy set her bail at $5,000 on the animal cruelty charge and ordered her to appear again Friday on a charge of aggravated child abuse.
Police officers were investigating a domestic violence case when they found welts and bruises on Wonjah’s 8-year-old son, WTVJ-TV reported.
She also acknowledged killing the family’s 1-month-old puppy by slamming it on the floor in front of her kids because she no longer wanted to take care of it, police said. More
