After seven years of hunting for the person who killed a Colorado single mom who led a secret life as an escort, police arrested one of her clients Friday.
Paige Birgfeld vanished in 2007 and her remains were found in 2012 in a dry creek in Mesa County, not far from her Grand Junction home.
Lester Ralph Jones, who was one of the last people to call the 34-year-old mom before she disappeared, was a suspect in the case from the start, CBS Denver reported. The 63-year-old was finally arrested Friday.
Birgfeld's double life — which her own family did not know about until she died — made the case complex, Sheriff-Elect Matt Lewis said. More
