MIAMI – Bond has been denied for the second of two teens accused of killing a man in a case of mistaken identity.
Nathan Curry, 17, and his brother Benjamin Curry, 16, were arrested Thursday, November 6th, and charged with first degree murder as adults.
The Curry brothers allegedly shot and killed Lonnie Reese because they mistakenly believed he had stolen their mother’s AK 47 assault rifle.
Police said at first the brothers argued with Reese, who then walked away. As he was leaving, police said Nathan Curry told his older brother to go after Reese. Police said that’s when Benjamin Curry pulled a handgun from his waist band and shot Reese several times in the chest and back. More
