Myrtle Beach police charged a 31-year-old homeless woman in connection with a dog being thrown from a third-floor hotel balcony during a dispute with her boyfriend, according to authorities.
Jamie Taylor Gonzalez, 31, was jailed Tuesday on charges of criminal domestic violence and mistreatment of animals.
Gonzalez told officers she argued with her boyfriend of two years and they fought, according to the report. Gonzalez said she had bruises, but police did not see any on her body other than a self-inflicted scratch.
The victim, a 38-year-old man, told officers that he argued with Gonzalez and she pushed and scratched him, according to the report. The victim said Gonzalez took his Chihuahua and threw him from the third-floor balcony. More
