New York – A man who suffocated his 14-year-old Brooklyn girlfriend because he thought she was pregnant — then burned her corpse and stuffed it in a suitcase — asked if he could do only community service for the crime, court papers reveal.
After confessing to killing Shaniesha Forbes in January 2013, Christian Ferdinand, 22, asked cops, “Do you think I can get some kind of community service?” according to documents obtained by The Post.
A Brooklyn jury took just an hour Monday to find Ferdinand guilty of the heinous crime — ensuring that he now faces up to 25 years to life behind bars.
