A south suburban Harvey woman was ordered held on $500,000 bail Sunday after prosecutors said she stabbed her boyfriend nine times with a steak knife during an argument Friday.

Nikita L. Jackson-Jones, 42, of the 14600 block of South Honore Street, is charged with attempted murder in the incident, which took place at her residence, according to court records.

Jackson-Jones had been drinking Friday and got into an argument with the victim, according to Assistant State’s Attorney Nicolas Castiglione.

The man, who had dated Jackson-Jones on and off for the past two years, tried to leave the residence, Castiglione said.

Jackson-Jones then grabbed two steak knives “and launched at the victim,” he said. The victim tried to block the knives and sustained a deep laceration to his hand, according to Castiglione.
