Four people died and a 13-year-old boy was injured in a crash Friday evening in southwest suburban Bridgeview, authorities and families of those killed in the crash said.
The four dead have been identified as Aiman Salem, 21, of Worth, Alaa Mustafa Alkhatib, 24, of Palos Hills, Maria Gonzalez, 52, of Chicago and Hector Gonzalez, 48, of Chicago, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The boy injured was the son of Maria and Hector Gonzalez and suffered broken bones and required stitches in his forehead, said Tony Martinez, who said he is the long-time boyfriend of the Gonzalezes’ adult daughter. The boy remains at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and may undergo surgery today for injuries to his leg, Martinez said Saturday.
