MILWAUKEE — The Boost Mobile store near 7th and Mitchell is not exactly where Arron and Rhonda Scmidt expected to be on the first morning following their wedding night.

“As we were getting ready to leave our wedding, is when we discovered that my wife’s phone and credit card were gone,” Arron Scmidt said.

The couple immediately filed a police report and cancelled the credit card.

“We contacted her bank that morning and they told us there was a purchase made at the Boost Mobile,” Arron Scmidt said.

When the couple showed up at the store to question the salesman, he informed them that the suspect was just in — and that he made a purchase that needed some time to activate.

As a result, the suspect was due back any minute.

“As we were in the room with him, the guy walked in to pick up the extra phone,” Aaron Scmidt sais.

As the suspect approached the counter the cashier asked “do you want to show me that credit card?”

At that time, Rhonda cut in and said, ” You mean my credit card? Why don’t you give me my credit card back, the one you stole at my wedding?”

During the confrontation, the salesperson and Aaron held the suspect while Rhonda reached out for help.

To the couple’s luck, dozens of firefighters and police officers were just outside due to a gas leak and fire in the area.

“They came running, and they handcuffed him right away, and it felt good,” Rhonda Scmidt said.

Sadly, Rhonda did not get her phone back.
