{UAH} Ebyerere Byange- MULINDWA SAID IT!

How is Buganda Museveni's power base? And this argument keeps on coming back to my screen yet it never gets backed up factually.

Mulindwa,

There is a saying in Kakwa, that facts, is like grey hair. It cannot be concealed for ever. Even with dye sir! This is why the argument, that Buganda is Museveni's power base keeps coming back!

You should not forget that NRA fought its way from Luwero which is in Buganda, and that is where it left it's political base, but transfering its military base, westward. The role Buganda played to sustain NRM and Museveni to date, was not only to give Mu7 a title, one of Sebalwanyi (sp), but to ignore all his misdeed including alienating and eliminating Buganda fighters who fought along side him. Instead, Buganda rewarded him with votes and support for the last twenty years and counting.  Since the so called multi party politics was restored, Buganda sent more NRM MP to parliament per head, than the rest of the country put together. The numbers can attest to that!

Do you really think Museveni needs Ssabassajja Mutebi?

Mu7 needs and dependent on Buganda more than you realise. The problem with Buganda is that there are no political players, ready to withstand the sort of heat required to morph a sedimentary into an igneous political rock. The sort many Acholi MPs were transformed into, during the war in the north.  The reason why Mu7 needs Buganda is not only due to Buganda population, but the fact that Buganda as a people are well organised culturally, albeit not politically. Buganda is the riches region in the country and therefore, able to withstand difficulty times. And Buganda is easy to divide so much so that he appointed Kanyihura to see to it that he protected the Buganda tomatoes sellers, from the Buganda political agitators, and so pitying the two against each other.

Mulindwa, some of us none Baganda are very concerned that Buganda, is yet again being used for political and military interest. We feel duty bound to alert Buganda with the hope that, it will wake up from the slumber. I expect a real Muganda like you, to do more. Lakini wapii! If Buganda wants change and wants it like now, it should go back to Luwero; for they owe it to Uganda and Buganda. The first salvo, recently fired in the Luwero by-election, which saw a DP candidate elected, should be replicated in the entire Buganda. The tomato sellers and political agitators in Buganda should come together to make this happen. But they will need a rock solid politician, to demagnetise the two groups. One who is able to show them that Buganda was the craddle of the NRA and how much Mu7 depend on it as base for his presidency and buttering of his bread.  And should they withdraw their votes, Mu7 will start limping towards the north for support and that is when the real game of politics will begin.

How is Buganda Museveni's power base? And this argument keeps on coming back to my screen yet it never gets backed up factually.  Do you really think Museveni needs Ssabassajja Mutebi? Heck no those are favors from get go that he can throw out any time anywhere and Baganda will not do a God damn thing about it. Mutebi needs Museveni than other wise, and for a very good reason, without Museveni Mutebi has no Mengo and has no Kingdom and Mutebi knows that simple fact.  Friends, the man's power base is in only in two camps, Western Uganda and AK47 period. And yes he has a very good support from Western countries for he helps them to loot Africa. Seriously who in Buganda is holding this man in power? And if Buganda is the power base why do they have a Kifuufu Kingdom? Are they waiting for Obote 3 to make it powerful? Well think about it, if Buganda is the power base for the government and it loves the Kingdom, why is the Kingdom narrowed to Nabakyaala educating girls on how to peel Matooke? There is nothing in Buganda and any day any time a Muganda opens his mouth he will be taken down by Kibooko squad which can never happen in Ankole.

One can see Museveni introducing Baganda as "Ebyerere byange"    Geeeeez
