Not the other way round. The I.G.P role for a military man is bad for a portfolio holder. They risk losing their dignity because cops suffer from contrast of duty marked by coping the criminal habits of communities they police. Soldiers on the other tend to be isolated from the contaminating effect of mixing with the sea of potential law breakers with no professional responsibility i.e common civilians. Gen. Kayihura was very popular in the army but under police some don't understand him yet his boys and girls are ever out there acting in his name. Every dirt they incur while acting individually blemishes his name. Heroism cannot work in police unless it's broad i.e all cops work with a strict mindset. Let's support police to remain a department of cops only. They should grow up and do their duty or we officially disband the force,
NAADS-style and expand the military's scope.
