Herald cartoonist Rod Emmerson is in fine form this morning.
The Labour Party made hay while the sun shone with regard to its allegations that National and Donghua Liu were too close. But when David Cunliffe walked into the trap that he himself had set, he has bleated loudly about the unfairness of it all.
Never mind that Labour has tried its very hardest to paint National as sinners; when the "gotcha" merchants fell victim to a self-induced "gotcha", they didn't like it up 'em, as Lance Corporal Jack Jones was wont to say.
David Cunliffe has been hoist by his own petard; how sad.
