0 FBI offers record $3M reward for Russian hacking suspect

The FBI is offering a $3 million reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of a Russian hacking suspect, the highest bounty ever offered by US authorities in a cybercrime case.

Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev is accused of being the mastermind behind the GameOver Zeus botnet, which was used by cybercriminals to steal more than $100 million from businesses and consumers since 2011. A 14-count indictment unsealed last year charged Bogachev, 31, with conspiracy, computer hacking, wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering.

"This reward offer reaffirms the commitment of the US Government to bring those who participate in organized crime to justice, whether they hide online or overseas," the US Department of State said in a statement.

The FBI believes that Bogachev is still living in Russia. More

New York – The NYPD has turned to Patrick Swayze to teach city cops how to behave.

Police bosses are using a scene from the 1989 action flick “Road House” as part of the mandatory, three-day retraining course for 22,000 cops, The Post has learned.

In the scene, Swayze — playing a tough-guy bouncer, Dalton — teaches his goons at the rowdy bar Double Deuce how to handle unruly customers.

North Carolina - Mirjana Puhar -- a recent "America's Next Top Model" contestant -- was killed Tuesday in a triple homicide at her boyfriend's home in Charlotte, NC ... TMZ has learned.

A source who was very close to Mirjana confirmed to TMZ that she was one of the 3 victims found dead in a home that belonged to Mirjana's boyfriend. The source says a friend of the couple went to the house after getting a call that gunshots were heard.

We're told the friend went into the house, saw 2 bodies -- Mirjana and the boy friend -- and then called police to report the killings. The friend didn't see the 3rd victim, but did see money scattered around the house.

19-year-old Mirjana was on the 21st cycle of 'ANTM' ... which aired last year. She was eliminated from the show in the 10th episode.

Law enforcement sources tell us the preliminary investigation leads police to believe the murders were drug related -- and the victims knew the killer. More

0 Blind woman, 93, sexually assaulted in her own apartment by intruder

A legally blind 93-year-old woman was able to pull an alarm and summon help from neighbors as a stranger battered and then sexually assaulted her in her apartment, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

About 2:30 a.m. Monday, the woman had taken trash to the receptacle at the end of her hall and was surprised by Clyde Alvims Leandre (picture), 22, of Delray Beach, according to Detective Ian Kuechler.

The incident happened in the Highland Gardens apartments at 331 Northeast 48th St. Each apartment has cords near beds and toilets that activate an emergency alarm as well as a hallway light outside a tenant's door. More

MILVILLE, New Jersey - A school bus aide has been charged with stealing lunch money and bagged lunches from preschoolers in New Jersey.

Police in Millville say 33-year-old Rosa Rios was caught on a surveillance camera rummaging through students’ backpacks.

She’s accused of stealing money and food from the 3- to 5-year-olds she was supervising in January and February.

Authorities first reviewed the footage because the bus driver complained that someone had stolen $400 from her. Rios is also under investigation in that theft. More

A mother has been jailed after lying about being raped – putting an innocent man through months of torment.

Lisa-Jayne Samuels, 29, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice and was imprisoned for 20 months.

The wrongly-accused man, Terry Brown, endured months of uncertainty during which time he was beaten by a gang of thugs and his pregnant partner lost her baby after Samuels, of Prince Avenue, Southend, lied to police.

A senior State Department official in charge of federal counterterrorism programs was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor, Fox News has learned.

Fairfax County Police officials say Daniel Rosen was arrested by a county detective about noon at his Washington, D.C. home after he allegedly sought to arrange sex with a minor.

The detective, a female officer working in the county's Child Exploitation Unit, had been posing as the minor in online exchanges with Rosen, police said.

Rosen, who is the director of counterterrorism programs and policy at the State Department, was arrested and transported to the D.C. jail and charged with one count of Use of a Communications Device to Solicit a Juvenile. More

0 GUILTY: Ex-Marine gets life in jail for killing 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle

Texas - A former Marine was found guilty late Tuesday of the 2013 shooting deaths of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the author of "American Sniper," and his friend Chad Littlefield.

It took an Erath County, Texas jury less than two hours to convict Eddie Ray Routh of capital murder. State District Judge Jason Cashon sentenced Routh to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Prosecutors had not sought the death penalty in the case. Routh's defense team said they would appeal the conviction.

"We have waited two years for God to get justice on behalf of our son," Littlefield's mother, Judy, told reporters outside the courthouse. "And as always, God has proven to be faithful, and we're so thrilled that we have the verdict that we have tonight." More

0 Person of interest in Holly Bobo killing found dead in apparent suicide

A man authorities reportedly planned to indict in the 2011 killing of a Tennessee nursing student apparently committed suicide sometime over the weekend, his attorney told a Nashville TV station on Monday.

Shayne Austin, 30, reportedly signed an immunity agreement in March 2014 with prosecutors, but was uncooperative in the investigation of the kidnapping and murder of Holly Bobo (picture).

The Jackson Sun reported that Austin's immunity was revoked and he was going to be indicted. Luke Evans, Austin's attorney, said that his client had been truthful.

"It's unfortunate the government came in and made allegations without basis," the attorney told WSMV. "People had to live with those allegations….under the cloud of those allegations."

Two men, Zachary Adams and Jason Autry, were arrested last spring and charged with murder and kidnapping in the case of Bobo, a nursing student who was 20 when she disappeared from her house in April 2011. In October, John Dylan Adams was charged with raping Bobo. Both men have pleaded not guilty. More

Jonathan Giraldo, 38, gave himself the alias ‘Tony Garcia’ and nicknamed himself ‘Anthrax’ thinking it would help conceal his identity.

But police swooped after he used real videos and photos of himself posing with weapons – including a handgun with a silencer attachment – and bundles of cash.

0 Suspects planned for weeks to kill Satellite Beach teen, deputies say

SATELLITE BEACH, Florida - Three people were arrested Friday in connection with an attack that left a Satellite Beach teenager in a coma Thursday morning.

Investigators with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office identified the suspects as Dylan Thomas, 17, and Jessie Umberger, 18, both of Satellite Beach, and Rebecca Gotay, 18, of Indialantic.

Each suspect is being held without bond on charges that include attempted first-degree premeditated murder.

STAMFORD - Police said Alan Becker, 47, of Stamford, went to the Loft Salon on Long Ridge Road Wednesday morning for a haircut, but became upset over the quality of the cut he received.

“He was just very irate about his haircut,” said Stamford Police Sgt. Kelly Connelly. “He did not like the way that it was cut.”

When Becker found out the haircut would cost him $50, he became even more “outraged,” Connelly said.

0 Drunk driver busted after driving wrong-way on Golden Gate Bridge

California – A Sacramento man was arrested in Marin County early Friday morning on suspicion of drunken driving after he navigated nearly half of the Golden Gate Bridge in the wrong direction, then turned around mid-span and headed back the way he came, officials said.

Around 2:35 a.m., the California Highway Patrol began receiving calls of a southbound driver in the northbound lanes. A silver or gray Toyota sedan had exited the Vista Point parking lot on the Marin County side of the bridge and entered the bridge in the wrong direction, said Officer Andrew Barclay, a CHP spokesman.

As officers went to cut off the driver, callers reported that the Toyota had made a U-turn in the middle of the bridge and was heading northbound on Highway 101 back into Marin County, still driving erratically, Barclay said. More

An Oklahoma man says he nearly lost his penis when he woke to find his girlfriend trying to bite it off.

A night of drinking and arguing led to the painful arousal when the victim said he found Amber Ellis "biting his (penis) off" as he slept on the couch Thursday,KJRH reported.

He told Tulsa police he fought the 31-year-old off but in the process she hit him in the head with a laptop computer.

Their earlier argument was over his accusing her of being too needy, he said.

Stevie Foehl (right), 28, and Michael Emory, 26, were both sentenced to life in prison on first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges by Judge Dennis Leiber in 17th Circuit Court.

0 Suspect in Las Vegas road rage shooting taken into custody following standoff

Las Vegas police took a suspect into custody Thursday afternoon in the killing of a mother of four following a road rage incident last week, officials said.

SWAT teams had surrounded a home about a block from where 44-year-old Tammy Meyers lived. At one point, Meyers' husband showed up at the scene and attempted to cross the street in front of the house but he was held back by police. He then yelled, "There's the animal, a block away."

Jesse Roybal, a spokesman for Las Vegas Metro Police, said earlier that the suspect remained inside the home. Authorities had been trying to contact him using a bullhorn to get him to surrender.

0 Mother, boyfriend beat boy, made him stand in corner for weeks

KEARNS, Utah - A Kearns mother and her boyfriend were charged last month after police say the couple made an 11-year-old boy stand in a corner whenever he was home and beat him.

Anthony Berardi, 29, and Amanda Ramirez, 28, were charged in Third District Court on 10 counts each of child abuse, each class A misdemeanors.

Between October and Nov. 14 last year, court documents indicate, Berardi and Ramirez made the boy, stand in a corner when he was home. He was reportedly only allowed to leave the corner to go to the bathroom, eat dinner and go to bed.

Court documents state that if the child left the corner, Berardi hit him with a belt or punched him in the head.

Berardi kept a tally of how many times the boy moved while he was in the corner, court documents state. At the end of the day, Berardi hit him with a belt for every time the victim moved. More

GRAND RAPIDS – "We are sorry."

"We wish we could bring him back."

"We never meant to kill him."

Those were the statements in Kent County Circuit Court on Tuesday from Robert Kelly, 18, and Domnard White, 17, after watching cell phone video that showed them beating and kicking Scott Simerson into a coma.

Kelly and White were in court for sentencing after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

Last May, Simerson was watching over some children on a playground at Sibley School in Grand Rapids. When he noticed some older boys he thought were harassing the children, he moved the children away. That's when he was attacked by White, Kelly and 2 juveniles. More

0 Couple Arrested After Infant Son Starves To Death

An Oregon couple involved in online pornography was arraigned Wednesday on murder by abuse charges alleging they let their baby starve to death.

Stephen Michael Williams Jr., 26, and Amanda Marie Hancock, 21, of the small timber town of Glendale, are accused of causing the death of their 7-week-old son through neglect and maltreatment.

The two were ordered held without bail when they appeared in Douglas County Circuit Court in Roseburg, Deputy District Attorney Shannon Sullivan said.

No pleas were entered. Judge Stephen Tiktin authorized a court-appointed attorney, but the public defender's office has not named the attorney yet, Sullivan added.

The charging document says the couple showed extreme indifference to human life in causing Data Toria Hancock's death by failing to provide him adequate food and medical care. More

Florida - After stripping off her clothes, a Florida woman walked into traffic, where she performed a lewd act before climbing atop a Lexus and jumping and stomping on the occupied vehicle’s roof and hood, cops allege.

Amie Carter, 31, “appeared to be under the influence [of] a heavy unknown substance,"according to an Orlando Police Department report detailing her antics. "She appeared in an altered mental state, displaying extremely irrational and volatile behavior."

Responding to a 911 call about a “reported naked woman climbing on top of cars and walking in traffic,” cops found Carter attempting to mount a vehicle stopped at a traffic light.

After officers wrestled an uncooperative Carter out of the roadway, they “secured her in handcuffs and covered her in a blanket.” More

0 Burglar Apologizes After Father And Son Tie Him Up

OLYMPIA, Washington - A 37-year-old man suspected of burglarizing an Olympia apartment is now in jail after being tackled by a father and son who lived there.

Police say John Ashton Sr. and his son John Jr. had left their apartment Friday morning, and returned to find the front door broken and the inside burglarized. "The door was smashed. The deadbolt bent," Ashton, Sr. said.

Moments later, they found the burglar was still inside, emerging from a back bedroom.

Police said the burglar apologized at first: "I'm sorry, I made a mistake and I'll get your stuff back," and tried to escape past the two, but didn't get far.

0 Vegas mom, son searched for assailant before road rage shooting

LAS VEGAS – A Las Vegas mother of four killed in a road rage shooting last week got in her car with her adult son and his gun and drove around their neighborhood looking for the assailant who ended up shooting her in a residential cul-de-sac, police said Tuesday.

In a change from earlier accounts, police Lt. Ray Steiber said 44-year-old Tammy Meyers had her teenage daughter run in the house to fetch her armed son, who then went with her as she drove to find the driver who had earlier stopped his car in front of hers, got out and approached her with angry words.

"Mrs. Meyers is scared, but she's upset," Steiber said, adding that the intent appeared to be "so they can find who frightened them on the roadway."

"I would never say that anybody went looking for trouble," Steiber said when asked to characterize Tammy Meyers' five-to-10 minute drive through the neighborhood. He said she found, and for a time followed, the vehicle she had apparently been looking for. More

0 Denied Sex, Woman Pulled Gun On Boyfriend

After having her “sexual advances” rejected by her live-in boyfriend, a South Carolina woman allegedly threatened to shoot her beau, cops allege.

Ryan Rucker, 33, was sleeping early yesterday when Michelle Smart, by her own admission, “attempted to make some sexual advances toward” him, according to a police reportdetailing the 2 AM incident.

Rucker told cops that he pushed the 30-year-old Smart off of him, which prompted an argument during which Smart “told him she would shoot him because she has the gun.” Smart told officers that after Rucker “rejected her and pushed her off of him,” he punched and kicked her multiple times.

Cops noted that Smart “continually was changing her story throughout the investigation,” adding that, “For these reasons, Ms. Smart’s account became less believable.” More

0 PUNISHMENT FOR USING FACEBOOK IN PRISON: SOLITARY CONFINEMENT

South Carolina's Department of Corrections considers "creating and/or assisting with a social networking site" while in prison an offense akin to committing a violent crime against another prisoner or officer.

Prisoners found to post on Facebook in South Carolina's system can face losing privileges such as visitation rights and telephone access, and many receive solitary confinement sentences, state documents show.

Punishments are doled out separately for each day that an inmate posts on a social networking site, such as Facebook or Twitter. That means posting once on Monday and once again on Wednesday counts as two individual violations, but posting 50 times on a single day counts as just one violation.

Over the past three years, 432 disciplinary cases have been brought against 397 South Carolina inmates for using social networks (mostly Facebook). Of those disciplined prisoners, 40 received more than two years in solitary confinement, and 16 were sentenced to more than a decade alone in a cell. More

0 Police hunt suspect in road rage attack that killed Las Vegas mom

Las Vegas police said Monday they are hunting for the suspect who shot a mother of four in an apparent road-rage attack while she was teaching her daughter how to drive.

Tammy Meyers died after being taken off life support Saturday night at University Medical Center, family members said at a news conference. She was shot outside her home Thursday.

Detectives are "doing everything they can to find the suspect or suspects,” Las Vegas Metro Police Department spokeswoman Laura Meltzer told ABC News on Monday.

The police released a sketch of the suspect, who was described as a 6-foot, 180-pound white man in his mid-20s with dirty blond hair he wears in a spiked style. More

Spain - A Briton has been arrested in Spain for allegedly killing a German man he caught filming his young daughter with an iPad.

Police detained the 40-year-old man on Saturday night after he allegedly attacked the German national in a restaurant in Sotogrande, an exclusive resort on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol.

Authorities said the victim, 43, had been charged with possession of child pornography days before, although it is not known if the British man was aware of the fact.

0 Grandmother Arrested For Leaving Five-Year-Old In Below-Freezing Car While She Gambled At Casino

NEW YORK - A woman was arrested and charged with leaving her 5-year-old granddaughter in a parked car for over an hour, while she was in the Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, Queens.

As WCBS 880’s Jim Smith reported, Renee Osby, 56, was arrested at 11:54 a.m. Saturday, and charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17 years old, police said.

She was accused of leaving hear granddaughter in a parked car outside the casino, at 110-00 Rockaway Blvd. in Queens, for over an hour.

Osby allegedly told police she went into the casino to “cash a check.”

A casino security guard called the police after he observed the child alone in the car for approximately an hour, police said. More

Horrified Natalie Allman, 29, has been ordered by a judge to send letters three times a year to brutal Jason Hughes who tortured her for seven hours in front of their twin sons.

Under parental rights laws, Natalie is being forced to send updates on the five-year-olds along with photos.

The boys were just two when they saw their father batter their mother with his weight-lifting dumbbells, slash her throat with an Army knife and try to ­suffocate her with a pillow.
