Florida – A DeBary man chose the wrong menu item for a Super Bowl meal when he decided to kill five small alligators for a gator tail dinner, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials said Monday.

Richard Nixie, 30, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with possession and taking alligators without a proper tag, Volusia County Branch Jail records show.
