A shocking video clip posted online shows a man wearing the uniform of a California Highway Patrol officer repeatedly punching a woman in the face as she lies beside a busy road. The man appears to hit her at least ten times, seemingly oblivious to passing motorists. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening on the Santa Monica Freeway in western Los Angeles, according to a local CBS News affiliate. In a statement the California Highway set they were looking into the incident, adding that "every time there is a use of force by our officers, there is a review conducted to determine whether the use of force was appropriate."
