0 Chicago Colored Boy, 13, charged in shooting of 3 teens

A 13-year-old boy has been charged in connection to the shooting of three teenaged boys Monday in the Longwood Manor neighborhood on the Far South Side, authorities said Tuesday night.

The boy, who is not being identified because he is a minor, is being charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The victims were standing on a street corner in the 9700 block of South Lowe Avenue when a group of people approached and someone opened fire around 6 p.m. Monday, Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.
