Las Malvinas er et uløst kolonispørgsmålLAS MALVINAS IS AN UNSOLVED

COLONY QUESTION

likewise : LADO - PUERTO RICO - VESTSAHARA AND LAS MALVINAS - CUBA

Las Malvinas is an unresolved colonial question .

There are three reasons to protest against the British occupation of

the islands Las Malvinas: Keeping colonies today is a disgrace to

steal the Argentines and fish oil is a crime, and to have a

nuclear-armed military base into a zone of peace is unheard of. "It

was a really good article you wrote, but it says so Maldives - not

Malvinas." So wrote a good friend to me when I a few years ago had

written a long article in The laborer. I was, of course, have to

answer that I had mistakenly confused the two groups of islands,

located at their global ocean. Maldives as an independent nation in

the Indian Ocean and Las Malvinas as an Argentine archipelago in the

South Atlantic - occupied by Britain.

To raise their voice against the British occupation the Argentine

Malvinas islands are raising voice against colonialism, imperialism

and war. There is just so much between the Maldives and Las Malvinas,

as there is between the colonial power Britain and the colonized

islands Las Malvinas. I think that over 90 percent of the Danish

population share my friend's situation. We do not know that Las

Malvinas is the authentic name of the archipelago, as the British call

the Falklands. And we are not aware that the Danish media and Danish

politicians have acquired and foisted upon us British colonialist view

of the world, and we believe that the islands called the Falklands,

for that is how we know them. In this as in so many other areas of

education, culture, media coverage and dominant bourgeois political

rhetoric poisoned many people's understanding of the world and

knowledge of the colonial and imperialitisk intellectual baggage.

The colonization of The islands called Las Malvinas.

They do not belong to Great Britain, but Argentina, who as a young,

independent republic day 185 years ago, legal and military control of

the islands, located a few hundred kilometers from the Argentine

coast. Argentina inmates June 10, 1829 Governor Luis Vernet as a

commander on the islands, and with a small military force, he was

responsible for the little Argentine settlement on the islands . The

Provisional Government of Argentina had already in 1810 - nine years

before the Republic of Argentina won its independence from the Spanish

colonial - declared that Las Malvinas was part of the national

territory. But the British colonial wanted to capture these strategic

islands. On January 3, 1833 attack a superior British military

strength, and Luis Vernet had batting with his people and the people.

Since then, the British had control of the islands. But Argentina has

never accepted this. Running, Argentina has claimed the islands and

the UN General Assembly with multiple resolutions, that there exists a

sovereignty issue, such as Britain and Argentina to negotiate a

peaceful solution.

UN regards the case of Las Malvinas as an unresolved colonial just

like that of Lado question and referred the matter to the "Committee

on Decolonization", in which case on is going discussion . Just refuse

the British to discuss it with the Argentine Government . Does it

matter ? Is it relevant today ? Is it relevant, some might ask. Is it

a matter of political importance that deserves attention? It may have

answered yes to several reasons .

1. Firstly hear colonization of foreign territory to another century.

2. It is unheard of that we still have a number of unresolved

colonial question ; including the Guantanamo base in Cuba, Puerto Rico

, Western Sahara , Lado and Las Malvinas. Secondly, it takes place

under the current UK (illegal) rule the , plundering of natural

resources on the islands, especially in the sea around them .

Brits sell fishing quotas for the fish-rich waters, and plunders

threatens fish stocks in the area, while it costs the legitimate

fishermen from Argentina revenues. The British issue licenses for

exploration of oil and natural gas in the sea by the islands. The day

there is oil and gas in such large quantities that pays to extract it

will start extracting. There will be a agement theft of Argentine

values, and Argentina has

strongly warned not to go ahead with oil exploration in the difficult

waters before sovereignty issue has been resolved, and Argentina and

Britain can work together on these projects. An oil accident would

have catastrophic consequences for the vulnerable sea area close to

Antarctica, and the British will of 6000 kilometers and without

cooperation with Argentina it difficult to cope with an accident.

Nuclear weapons in the Peace Zone .

Thirdly brings NATO country Great Britain with its military base at

Las Malvinas (Falklands) war danger to the region. The countries of

Africa and South America, bordering the South Atlantic, has in 1994

decided to declare the South Atlantic for a nuclear-free zone of

peace. As recently as January of this year, the CELAC Summit of Latin

America and the Caribbean declare the entire continent for a

atomvåbnefrit area and a zone of peace. But British imperialism defy

these decisions with the deployment of 1300 soldiers at the base and

fighter planes and warships - including the nuclear-armed Trident

submarines. It makes the British not to protect less than 2000 sheep

farmers on the islands, but because the 'Falklands' for them means

control of the strategic Strait south of South America and give the

British an admission ticket to the future power play for control of

water resources and raw materials at the nearby Antarctica. It is also

a threat to the progressive governments in the region.

To raise their voice against the British occupation of the Argentine

Malvinas Islands is raising its voice against colonialism, against

imperialism and against the war - and in support of a just claim,

located throughout the Argentine and Latin American population of

great concern. Argentina requires that the UK dealer on Malvinas This

is an example of "open colonialism" when Britain maintain their

control over Las Malvinas, located 14,000 km from London, says

Argentine President Christina Kirchner. Argentine President Christina

Fernandez de Krichner who are talking in front of a map of the islands

Las Malvinas, has sent a copy of his open letter to the UN Secretary

General. Argentina wants a settlement of the conflict through

negotiations, such as the UN General Assembly has instructed the

parties - but Argentina is experiencing, the

British holding up. The day before yesterday - January 3, it was

exactly 180 years since the British military took control with a small

group of islands by Argentina's east coast, in Europe known as the

Falkland Islands, but in Argentina and Latin America called Las

Malvinas. In January 1833 the British threw the Argentine colony and

the official Argentine representative away from the islands. This

reminds Argentine President Christina Kirchner British for in an open

letter, which she has just sent to the British Prime Minister David

Cameron and British media. Kirchner calls on Cameron to respect the

decision of the UN General Assembly from 1986 that the two countries

must come to the negotiating table to find a peaceful solution to the

conflict. This is an example of "open colonialism" when Britain

maintain their control over Las Malvinas, located 14,000 km from

London, says Argentine President Christina Kirchner....
