The challenge of Uganda is class, not tribal...we have the eating class at the top, which includes eaters from all 'tribes' but they front the tribal card at the convenient time.
Correction: Abasiita is a clan in Nkore, not a sub-tribe. In Buganda it is called 'engabi-ensiita', with such names as Kasiita, Nakasiita, Nakacwa,Nakanwagi, Kibira, Mugabi, Mugumya, besides the other common names of the larger ngabi family.
Abahororo: this is an independent tribe, in Rukungiri and parts of Ntungamo( still called Mpororo by the old folks)...they are totally separate...only that they speak Runyankore, the way French is spoken in L Luxembourg, without making the Luxembourgeois French.
My argument: we lose the plot when we focus on tribes and get blinded to the eaters....Ugandans joined the French last Monday to celebrate Quartoze juillet...July 14…..do we learn anything from it?
