1 dead, 1 injured in Naperville motorcycle crash
A Minnesota man was killed and a woman injured when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by an SUV on Naperville's North Side this afternoon.The motorcycle was involved in an accident with another vehicle at about 12:55 p.m. Wednesday at Ogden and Iroquois avenues, according to police Sgt. Bill Davis.
Frederick M. Wendt, 66, of Andover, Minnesota, was pronounced dead at Edward Hospital following the crash, according to a news release from Naperville police. His passenger, a 66-year-old woman also from Andover, was being held for observation at Edward Hospital, police said.
The driver of the 2014 Subaru Forester SUV, an 18-year-old man from Aurora, was driving east on Ogden Avenue when he made a left turn in front of the the 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, police said, citing initial information.
