Officers responding to a call of an unresponsive man about 6:40 a.m. found 22-year-old Parker Scully dead at his home in the 800 block of Foxdale Avenue, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Scully was pronounced dead at the scene, the medical examiner’s office said.
Winnetka Police Cmdr. Marc Hornstein said the man’s cause and manner of his death were not immediately known.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
“This is an isolated incident,” Hornstein told the Pioneer Press. “We have no reason to believe, based on where we’re at in the investigation at this point, that there is any danger to the community.”
Winnetka police and the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force are conducting a death investigation and advised the public not to use the internet to arrange homosexual encounters.
