Sir Gordon Tietjens' All Black Sevens side has won another tournament, and another IRB series championship. The team only needed to qualify for the quarter-finals to win its 12th World Sevens crown, but went the whole way beating Australia 52-33 in the final after trailing 0-21 early in the match.
With a Commonwealth Games title to defend in a couple of months, and the longer term goal of the first Olympic Games Sevens gold medal Sir Gordon has a team in fine form. We celebrate their success in pictorial form:
Well done to Sir Gordon Tietjens, captain D. J. Forbes and the All Black Sevens; a champion team led by a couple of champion men.
