It's not our response to 3News' Brook Sabin that we are featuring; rather his tweet about another strategic blunder by the Labour Party:
As we noted in our response, Labour has its conference next week. If it had bothered to invite the media, it could have released its much-changed immigration policy then.
Instead though, Labour leeches off the National Party. John Key and co should take that as a compliment. Interestingly, the policy is Trevor Mallard's baby; he of course was the strategic genius who guided Labour to its worst poll result in 70 years in 2011.
Perhaps Mr Mallard should have stayed in his own electorate this weekend. That's where his fight for political survival is happening.
