A 31-year-old bicyclist was killed in the Albany Park neighborhood when he tried to cross train tracks around downed gates, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the man as Ronayne Thomas, of the 1900 block of North Drake Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood.
The CTA's Brown Line, which weaves from downtown through the north side to its end at Kimball and Lawrence avenues, crosses at street level just south of Lawrence Avenue on Kedzie Avenue.
