The bodies of a man and woman were found in the garage in the 3800 block of West Gladys Avenue about 3:30 p.m., said Police News Affairs Officer Ana Pacheco.
The two were found unresponsive in the garage and pronounced dead at the scene, Pacheco said.
A spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office identified the woman as Nicolette Medina, 25, of the 3700 block of West Lawrence Avenue who had been reported missing from the city's Albany Park neighborhood Thursday.
Medina reportedly left her home on June 23, and told her roommate she would be back but never returned. In the following days, Medina failed to answer her cell phone for her friends or family, said police.
The man Medina was found with inside the garage was identified as Marco Acevedo, 31, of the 2400 block of West Haddon Avenue, according to the medical examiner's office.
Area North detectives were conducting a death investigation.
