$100K bail for West Pullman colored parolee accused of stealing tequila from Chicago Gold Coast eatery
A 37-year-old Negro on parole for robbery is accused of stealing and trying to guzzle down a $92 bottle of Patron tequila he’d taken from a Gold Coast area restaurant on Monday afternoon, police said.
Jhoshun Lyles, 37, entered Devon Seafood restaurant, 39 E. Chicago Ave. about 2:15 p.m. Monday and asked a staffer if he could use the washroom, according to a police report.
After he walked downstairs staffers heard the “distinct sound of the bar door open and shut,’’ according to the report.
Staffers checked and noticed a “large gap’’ on the back bar and saw that one bottle of tequila was missing.
